Eligibility & Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Ph.D. (or expected completion in 2025) in Economics, Environmental Economics, or a closely related field
  • Strong background in microeconomic theory
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with experimental methods (lab or field experiments)
  • Familiarity with water governance and environmental policy
  • Interdisciplinary research experience
  • Stakeholder engagement skills

Key Responsibilities

  • Design economic contracts to promote NBS adoption among landowners
  • Integrate theoretical models with empirical field data from across Europe
  • Collaborate with project partners and stakeholders to ensure policy relevance
  • Conduct simulations and economic experiments
  • Work closely with Dr. Erik Ansink and contribute to EU-wide knowledge exchange
