About Position
Leiden University’s Faculty of Law is seeking an Assistant Professor of Business Administration to join the Department of Business Studies. This position involves developing and delivering education at both bachelor’s and master’s levels, with a particular focus on strategy, marketing, and entrepreneurship. Research responsibilities include publishing in international peer-reviewed journals and contributing to academic networks. Eligibility & Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- PhD in a relevant social science field (e.g., Business Administration, Organizational Sciences, Psychology, Economics)
- Experience with quantitative and/or qualitative research methods
- Interest in research that links business administration with legal studies
- Fluent in Dutch and English (written and spoken)
- University Teaching Qualification (UTQ) or willingness to obtain within two years
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with interdisciplinary research involving law and business
- A strong track record in publishing research in peer-reviewed international journals
- Interest in marketing research and its application to policy
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and teach courses in business administration, focusing on strategy, marketing, and entrepreneurship
- Supervise master’s theses and engage in academic mentorship
- Conduct research and publish in international journals
- Participate in academic conferences and professional networks
- Contribute to the Law & Business Administration master’s degree program
