Research Area

The project focuses on the dispersion polymerisation of macromolecular hierarchical nanoarchitectures, particularly emphasising antioxidant properties. Key research themes include:

Reversible Addition-Fragmentation Chain Transfer (RAFT) polymerisation
Vinyl monomers with antioxidant pendants
Polymer synthesis and characterisation
Influence of solvents, chain transfer agents, and initiators on polymerisation

Eligibility & Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

Submitted Ph.D. thesis or Ph.D. degree in Chemistry.
Research experience in organic synthesis, polymer synthesis, and characterisation.
Familiarity with the Schlenk line technique.

Preferred Qualifications:

Additional research experience in the specific area of RAFT polymerisation and antioxidant polymeric materials.

Key Responsibilities

Study the effects of different parameters (solvent polarity, initiators, etc.) on RAFT polymerisation.
Synthesise and characterise polymers with antioxidant properties.
Contribute to the overall progress of the research project and publications.
