Eligibility & Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

Applicants must have completed all PhD requirements within the last five years.
Open to Canadian citizens, permanent residents, and foreign citizens.
Eligible to receive existing postdoctoral funding (e.g., SSHRC PDF) which can be supplemented to the Lupina salary level.
Applicants must not currently hold a tenure-track position or be on leave from such a position.
The applicant’s PhD should be in a relevant field, such as social sciences, public health, technology, or related disciplines.

Preferred Qualifications:

Proven excellence in research, leadership, and communication.
Research project that clearly aligns with the fellowship’s goals, particularly in health, society, and technology.
Ability to engage in interdisciplinary research and contribute to collaborative initiatives across various fields.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and contribute to original research on social determinants of health and its intersection with technology.
Engage in interdisciplinary research teams, collaborating across multiple departments within the Faculty of Arts.
Develop and implement knowledge translation strategies, including engaging with non-academic communities and policy makers to apply research findings in real-world settings.
Contribute to the broader academic community through publications, presentations, and outreach activities.
