Eligibility & Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Indian Nationality
  • Maximum age: 28 years (as on August 1, 2025; relaxable for reserved categories)
  • Minimum 60% aggregate in BSc and 55% in MSc (or equivalent 5-year degree)
  • Valid score in any one of the following exams: GATE, CSIR-UGC NET (JRF), DBT-JRF, JEST, ICMR-JRF, ICAR-JRF, JGEEBILS

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in relevant science discipline
  • Research experience or project work in core subject
  • Strong academic record

Key Responsibilities (if any)

  • Conduct doctoral research in designated BARC divisions
  • Contribute to scientific publications and presentations
  • Register and pursue PhD at HBNI
