Research Area
- Bioinorganic Chemistry
- Reaction kinetics involving heme and copper-peptide complexes
- Enzymatic oxidation processes related to Alzheimer’s Disease and Type 2 Diabetes
- Redox biochemistry and oxidative stress mechanisms
- Spectroscopic analysis of reaction intermediates
Eligibility & Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Ph.D. degree in Chemistry specializing in Bioinorganic Chemistry
- Expertise in monitoring reaction kinetics including very fast reactions
- Knowledge in ROS-mediated oxidative stress mechanisms and redox biochemistry
- Proficiency in using oxygen-controlled equipment like glove boxes
- Good communication skills
- Minimum 60% marks in B.Sc. and M.Sc. with NET qualification
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in anaerobic sample preparation
- Background in enzymatic oxidation reactions involving O2/H2O2
- Skill in trapping reaction intermediates via spectroscopy
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct advanced research in bioinorganic chemistry
- Study the reaction kinetics relevant to disease pathology
- Prepare and maintain anaerobic samples using oxygen-controlled equipment
- Collaborate with internal research teams
