Eligibility & Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • PhD in Digital Humanities, Digital Social Science, or Computer Science.
  • Research experience in two or more core research areas listed above.
  • Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to public engagement and research dissemination.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum one year of post-PhD research experience.
  • Experience with Omeka or similar digital heritage platforms.
  • Proficiency in an additional European language.
  • Knowledge of Viking Age or public history (desirable, not essential).

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct independent research under the supervision of a Principal Investigator.
  • Participate in grant writing and professional development.
  • Mentor postgraduate students.
  • Disseminate research findings through publications and public engagement.
  • Manage project-related administrative duties.
