Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) is seeking a dedicated educator for a full-time, temporary Lecturer position in Anthropology, with a focus on southeastern U.S. archaeology. This one-year renewable role is housed within the Department of Sociology and Anthropology and plays a critical role in delivering high-quality undergraduate education. The selected candidate will support MTSU’s mission to provide innovative, inclusive instruction while contributing to the department’s general education offerings and specialized courses.

Eligibility & Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Anthropology or a closely related field
- OR Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate hours in Anthropology
Preferred Qualifications:
- ABD or terminal degree in Anthropology or related field
- Specialization in Southeastern U.S. Archaeology
- Undergraduate teaching experience in Anthropology/Archaeology
Key Responsibilities
- Teach five undergraduate courses per semester
- Deliver online and in-person instruction in World Prehistory and area(s) of expertise
- Develop course materials and assessments
- Provide academic support and mentorship to students
- Contribute to departmental service and academic mission
