Eligibility & Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Postgraduate degree (with minimum 55%) in Ancient Indian History, Culture and Archaeology / Ancient History / Anthropology
  • UGC-NET qualification or Ph.D.
  • Age limit: 28 years (relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST/PH/Female candidates)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Academic background in Sociology, Anthropology, or Field Archaeology
  • Experience in tribal fieldwork
  • Proficiency in regional languages (especially spoken in Maharashtra)

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct ethnographic fieldwork in tribal regions (Gadchiroli, Maharashtra)
  • Collect and analyze cultural data relating to memorial stones
  • Assist in academic documentation, transcription, and report writing
  • Coordinate with the Project Director and contribute to ongoing research tasks
  • Present findings through articles and conference presentations
