Eligibility & Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Postgraduate degree (with minimum 55%) in Ancient Indian History, Culture and Archaeology / Ancient History / Anthropology
- UGC-NET qualification or Ph.D.
- Age limit: 28 years (relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST/PH/Female candidates)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Academic background in Sociology, Anthropology, or Field Archaeology
- Experience in tribal fieldwork
- Proficiency in regional languages (especially spoken in Maharashtra)
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct ethnographic fieldwork in tribal regions (Gadchiroli, Maharashtra)
- Collect and analyze cultural data relating to memorial stones
- Assist in academic documentation, transcription, and report writing
- Coordinate with the Project Director and contribute to ongoing research tasks
- Present findings through articles and conference presentations
