Research Area

Eligibility & Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • PhD in Digital Humanities, Imaging Science, Computer Vision, or related fields
  • Hands-on experience with image-based 3D reconstruction and photogrammetry
  • Programming skills (e.g., Python, C++)
  • Proficiency in tools such as COLMAP, Agisoft, RealityCapture

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Interest in or background in robotics-based imaging systems
  • Interdisciplinary collaboration skills
  • Familiarity with conservation science and working with GLAM institutions

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and enhance robotic 3D capture systems
  • Develop workflows for automated photogrammetric acquisition
  • Contribute to data registration, metadata capture, and model evaluation
  • Collaborate with Swiss heritage partners such as the Swiss National Museum
  • Prepare technical documentation, evaluation reports, and a white paper
