Eligibility & Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

Offer of admission to the PhD in Information Studies at the University of Glasgow, starting September 2025/26
International, Home, or RUK fee status

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong interest or background in digital archives, fan cultures, or library science
Prior research or academic experience relevant to the studentship
Excellent writing and analytical skills

Key Responsibilities

Conduct research on online fan communities’ publication and archiving practices
Collaborate with the British Library on preservation methodologies
Develop an ethical framework for collecting fan-generated content
Engage in interdisciplinary research and present findings
