Eligibility & Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Experience with Earth System Models (e.g., UKESM)
  • Familiarity with inverse modelling techniques
  • Evidence of publishing in peer-reviewed journals
  • Ability to contribute to funding proposals

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct high-quality research on sub-polar gyre collapse using UKESM
  • Calibrate and simulate ocean/sea-ice model sensitivity to Greenland melt
  • Collaborate with national PROMOTE project teams
  • Publish research outcomes in top scientific journals
  • Participate in funding applications for future research projects
  • Engage in academic activities within the department
  • Maintain regular on-campus presence (at least 3 days/week)
