About the Position

The Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) is inviting applications for a prestigious Junior Professor Chair under the PATRI-MAT programme. The successful candidate will lead research into the evolution, alteration, and conservation of heritage materials such as metals, textiles, and ceramics. This interdisciplinary role is hosted across France’s top institutions, including Sorbonne Université, Université de Bordeaux, Université Paris-Saclay, and the National Museum of Natural History. The appointment is full-time for 3 to 6 years, depending on the research profile, and includes generous research support (€200,000). The selected candidate will teach analytical chemistry and heritage sciences, collaborate with global institutions, and contribute to open science, public outreach, and innovation in cultural heritage preservation.
