About the Position

The Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science (IACS), Kolkata, is inviting applications from talented and motivated researchers for a Postdoctoral Research Associate (RA-1) position in the School of Applied and Interdisciplinary Sciences and Technical Research Centre (TRC). Position/Job Details

Research area

  • Chemical synthesis of metal complexes and hybrid perovskites
  • Dielectric, ferroelectric, piezoelectric, and catalytic property measurements at nanoscale and macroscale
  • Advanced instrumentation (PFM, KPFM, PE loops, SMUs, LCR Meter)

Eligibility & Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • PhD in Science (candidates who have submitted their thesis but not yet received the degree are also eligible; they will receive fellowship equivalent to SRF until the degree is awarded)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in chemical synthesis of metal complexes and hybrid perovskites
  • Expertise in nanoscale and macroscale measurements of material properties
  • Hands-on experience with high voltage and sensitive electronic measurement instruments
  • Strong publication record supporting research expertise

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct experimental research on metal complexes and hybrid perovskites
  • Perform detailed characterisation of materials’ dielectric, ferroelectric, and piezoelectric properties
  • Operate advanced instrumentation and measurement setups
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams within IACS
  • Contribute to scientific publications and presentations
