About the Position
Cambridge Digital Humanities (CDH) invites applications for an exciting Associate Professor/Professor position, starting January 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter. This academic role offers a rare opportunity to join a dynamic, interdisciplinary research centre at the University of Cambridge, UK. The successful candidate will contribute to CDH’s vibrant intellectual community, leading cutting-edge research and shaping postgraduate teaching in the field. Areas of interest include Digital History, Critical Data Studies, Digital Media Arts, and more. The position also includes a key leadership role as Deputy Director of CDH, with potential rotation into the Directorship. Appointments will be made at either Grade 10 or Grade 11, depending on experience. CDH’s close ties with the University Library, museums, CRASSH, and multiple faculties make this a uniquely collaborative academic environment.

Eligibility & Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Doctorate in a relevant field
- Internationally recognised research record
- Experience in postgraduate teaching and supervision
- Demonstrated leadership in academic or research roles
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in interdisciplinary research
- Success in securing external funding
- Contribution to Digital Humanities programme development
- Capacity for collaborative project leadership
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as Deputy Director of CDH
- Lead research projects with international reach
- Publish high-quality, peer-reviewed work
- Teach on postgraduate Digital Humanities programmes
- Supervise MPhil and doctoral students
