Postdoctoral Fellowship in Paleoclimatology & Isotopic Geochemistry at CNRS, France – Apply by 3 October 2025

About the Position

The CNRS – Laboratoire des Sciences du Climat et de l’Environnement (LSCE), part of University of Paris Saclay, invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow in Paleoclimatology / Isotopic Geochemistry. This full-time, temporary position focuses on determining isotopic compositions (δ¹³C and δ¹⁸O) of ostracod valves from sediment cores of European lakes, synthesizing and interpreting data, and producing high-impact publications. The fellowship is part of the AmMoAn project led by Ulrich von Grafenstein, aiming to reconstruct climatic variability over the past 20,000 years in Europe. Candidates will work in a multidisciplinary, international environment, contributing to high-resolution climate reconstructions, collaborating with global researchers, and participating in seminars and scientific meetings. This role offers a unique opportunity to advance your expertise in paleolimnology, isotope geochemistry, and climate science in a leading European research institute.
