Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT), Nagpur is inviting applications for its Postdoctoral Fellowships (PDF) Programme 2025–2026, designed to support early-career researchers in advancing high-impact research across engineering, sciences, architecture, social sciences, humanities, and interdisciplinary domains. Eligibility & Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

Ph.D. in a relevant field (within 5 years of completion)
Minimum 2 publications in SCI/SCIE/AHCI/SSCI journals
Strong academic record and research proposal
Candidates who have submitted their Ph.D. thesis are encouraged to apply
Maximum age: 40 years

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong publication record in indexed journals
International research experience
Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Not Eligible:

Candidates who completed their Ph.D. from VNIT, Nagpur
Applicants currently availing another fellowship

Fellowship / Job Benefits

Monthly Fellowship: ₹60,000 (1st year, base); ₹65,000 after first SCI/SCIE/AHCI/SSCI publication; ₹70,000 (2nd year, after minimum two publications and satisfactory performance report)
Contingency Grant: ₹25,000 per year
Conference Support: Funding for one national conference with paper presentation
Accommodation: Hostel/campus accommodation if available, or HRA as per VNIT norms
Research Environment: Access to laboratories, library, and institutional resources

Key Responsibilities

Conduct independent research under the guidance of faculty mentors
Publish research findings in high-quality SCI/SCIE/AHCI/SSCI journals
Present research at national conferences and seminars
Contribute to departmental research initiatives and collaborative projects
