The University of Gothenburg invites applications for a fully funded PhD in Archaeology titled “Doctoral Position in Archaeology” at the Department of Historical Studies. Required Degree/Diploma

Eligibility & Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Master’s degree or equivalent in Archaeology
- At least 120 HEC in Archaeology, including 30 HEC at second-cycle level
- Ability to participate actively in Swedish and English
Preferred Qualifications:
- Research experience in archaeological analysis
- Strong academic writing skills
- Familiarity with archaeological theory, methods, and sources
- Ability to formulate clear research questions
