About the Program

The University of Vienna, Austria invites applications for a fully funded University Assistant Predoctoral position at the Institute of European Ethnology, Faculty of Historical and Cultural Studies. This 4-year position (initially limited to 1.5 years with automatic extension) focuses on historical dimensions of everyday cultures, offering a vibrant research environment with strong connections to Austrian and international universities and cultural institutions. The successful candidate will participate in research, teaching, administration, publications, and conferences, while developing a doctoral thesis aligned with ethnography, materiality, urban studies, and multimodal research.
