CNRS – National Center for Scientific Research is recruiting a Postdoctoral Researcher in Ethnology of Dry Forests of Brazil, hosted at the Centre d’Ecologie et des Sciences de la Conservation (CESCO) in Paris, France. Eligibility & Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- PhD in Anthropology, Environmental Science, History, or related field
- Strong experience in quantitative and qualitative data analysis
- Proficiency in R and/or Statistica and database management
- Fieldwork experience in Brazilian, Argentine, or Paraguayan dry forests (Cerrado, Chaco, Caatinga)
- Fluency in Portuguese and academic proficiency in English
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with indigenous peoples and traditional communities
- Background in ecological and ethnobiological data collection
- Experience producing community-oriented research outputs (manuals, booklets, documentaries)
- Basic knowledge of French
