About the Scholarship

The University of Birmingham is offering fully-funded PhD scholarships in the College of Arts, Humanities and Law, aimed at supporting outstanding doctoral researchers from Home, EU, and international backgrounds. Eligibility Criteria

Minimum Requirements

  • Academic Qualifications: Master’s degree in a relevant field or nearing completion
  • Nationality/Residency: Open to Home, EU, and International students
  • Language Proficiency: English (required for non-native speakers)
  • Enrollment Status: Incoming or current year 1 doctoral students (depending on the award)

Preferred Qualifications

Outstanding academic achievement, strong research potential, and alignment with the College’s strategic research priorities

Not Eligible

Students pursuing non-doctoral programmes or outside the College of Arts and Law
