About Position/Job
University of Gothenburg invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher in living benthic foraminifera and sediment biogeochemistry within the Department of Marine Sciences, Sweden. This 2-year postdoc is part of the FAME project: Fjord Alien Microeukaryotes – New Drivers of Ecosystem Functioning?, funded by the Swedish Research Council (VR). The role focuses on the contribution of invasive microeukaryotes such as Nonionella sp. T1 to fjord nitrogen and phosphorus cycling, combining fieldwork, laboratory analyses, and advanced data processing. The position offers international collaboration with experts from Sweden, France, and Germany, opportunities to publish in high-impact journals, participate in research-centred teaching, and engage in science outreach to schools and the public.
