Eligibility & Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Completed PhD in History with a focus on South-Eastern Europe
- Knowledge of at least two modern South-Eastern European languages (one non-Slavic)
- Knowledge of two historical/source languages (e.g., Church Slavonic, Byzantine Greek, Latin, Old Romanian, Ottoman Turkish)
- Academic publications in peer-reviewed venues
- Teaching capability at the university level
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in palaeography or manuscript studies
- Record of independent research project development
- Experience applying for third-party research funding
- Academic event organisation experience
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct independent historical research
