Eligibility & Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Doctoral degree in historical studies or equivalent from abroad
- Strong research expertise demonstrated through thesis, publications, and project participation
- Excellent personal, administrative, and cooperation skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Doctorate awarded within 3 years prior to application deadline (exceptions apply for parental leave, health, or relevant service)
- Experience in interdisciplinary, archival, or field-based research
- Ability to contribute to teaching (up to 20% of workload)
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct independent research relevant to the Baltic and Eastern European region
- Participate in CBEES advanced seminars, conferences, and workshops
- Advise and support doctoral students in the Baltic and Eastern European Graduate School (BEEGS)
- Contribute to teaching and administrative tasks, including organising events
