Eligibility & Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Completed a PhD in archaeology, art history, digital humanities, geomatics, computer science, or a related discipline
- Proven expertise in image-based 3D modelling of cultural heritage
- Strong Python programming skills
- Excellent academic communication skills in English and German (or commitment to reach B2 German within two years)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in data science or deep learning applications
- Background in interdisciplinary research collaboration
- University-level teaching experience
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct teaching and research in digital recording and visualisation of material cultural heritage
- Deliver 5 SWS teaching, including supervision of student projects and theses
- Organise courses and examinations in Art and Cultural History and Digital Humanities
- Contribute to research projects and develop independent, funded research proposals
- Publish in high-impact academic journals and present at international conferences
- Support academic coordination, student advising, and departmental administration
- Manage the chair’s measurement and imaging equipment
