About the Fellowship

The AIAR 2026-2027 Fellowships provide a unique opportunity for doctoral, postdoctoral, and senior scholars to conduct advanced research on cultural development in the southern Levant from deep prehistory to the Early Modern period. Hosted by the W. F. Albright Institute of Archaeological Research in Jerusalem, the programme promotes interdisciplinary scholarship, fostering collaboration among US, Israeli, Palestinian, and international researchers. Fellowships support fieldwork, archival research, and cultural heritage studies while complying with UNESCO conventions and international ethical standards. Eligibility & Qualifications
