About the Fellowship

The Alfried Krupp Wissenschaftskolleg Greifswald invites applications for its prestigious Alfried Krupp Fellowships for the academic year 2026/27. Up to six Senior Fellowships and eight Junior Fellowships will be awarded to distinguished and early-career researchers across all disciplines. Located in the historic university city of Greifswald near the Baltic Sea, the Kolleg offers a unique academic environment for focused, independent research. Fellows are provided with the freedom to pursue their work without administrative or teaching obligations while engaging with the local academic community. The programme strongly supports interdisciplinary projects and encourages collaborations with the University of Greifswald. Special emphasis is placed on projects aligned with the research theme of the Baltic Sea region – from culture to ecology.
