Eligibility & Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in archaeology (with thesis on classical archaeology or antiquity reception)
  • Fluency in English and advanced proficiency in another foreign language (preferably Italian)
  • Experience in fieldwork at Mediterranean archaeological sites
  • Active participation in academic life and scientific communication
  • Knowledge of Polish sufficient for course delivery
  • Ongoing or planned PhD in classical archaeology

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of museology
  • Participation in international conferences and research projects
  • Interest in outreach and science communication
  • Experience in teaching or academic support roles

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct research and publish results in archaeology
  • Deliver up to 210 teaching hours annually, including field courses
  • Submit grant proposals to external agencies (e.g. NCN, MEN)
  • Engage in organisational activities of the Faculty
  • Support student and doctoral engagement in research and teaching
  • Actively contribute to grant fundraising and science promotion
