About the Position
The Faculty of Information at the University of Toronto is inviting applications for a tenure-stream Assistant Professor position in Digital Curation and Cultural Heritage, with an anticipated start date of 1 July 2026. Candidates will contribute across teaching and research programmes, including professional degrees (BI, MI, MMSt) and doctoral supervision, with access to top-tier centres such as the Digital Curation Institute, Knowledge Media Design Institute, and GLAM Incubator.

Eligibility & Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- PhD in Information, Digital Humanities, Cultural Heritage Studies, or a related field (completed by the start date)
- Demonstrated excellence in research and teaching
- Experience in research supervision and academic publishing
- Readiness to contribute to undergraduate and graduate teaching
Preferred Qualifications:
- Research on community-integrated digital heritage, digital ethics, virtual reconstructions, or born-digital preservation
- Technical expertise in metadata, digital forensics, data analytics, GIS, or AR/VR modelling
- Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusive teaching practices
- Interdisciplinary collaboration and successful grant acquisition
