About Position/Job
The University of Wrocław invites applications for an Assistant Professor position at the Department of Globalization and Communication, Institute of Cultural Studies, Faculty of Historical and Pedagogical Sciences. This role focuses on cultural and religious sciences within the humanities and combines research, teaching, and academic service. The position is full-time and temporary, starting February 2026. The successful candidate will engage in publishing high-quality research, teaching BA and MA students, applying for research grants, and participating in international conferences. Eligibility & Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Doctoral degree in Humanities, Cultural and Religion Studies or related discipline
- Published research monograph or three high-rated research articles in the last four years
- Teaching experience in higher education institutions
- Knowledge of Polish (spoken and written)
- Active participation in international scientific life
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of English for teaching purposes
- Experience in securing domestic or international research grants
- Experience in team-based research or educational projects
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research and publish in high-scoring journals
- Teach BA and MA students, including in English
- Apply for internal and external research grants
- Participate in international conferences
- Undertake administrative duties within the Institute
- Promote and popularise science
