Eligibility & Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- PhD in History (with specialization in Asia and the World, Pacific World, or Global History)
- ABDs near completion may be considered
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated excellence in undergraduate teaching
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Familiarity with current historiographical and curricular trends in World/Asian history
Key Responsibilities
- Teach 4 courses per semester, including East Asian Civilization I and II
- Design and teach upper-division electives in Asian, Pacific, or World history
- Support departmental goals in undergraduate education and curriculum development
- Engage with students and contribute to academic community service
