Eligibility & Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • PhD in History (with specialization in Asia and the World, Pacific World, or Global History)
  • ABDs near completion may be considered

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated excellence in undergraduate teaching
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Familiarity with current historiographical and curricular trends in World/Asian history

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach 4 courses per semester, including East Asian Civilization I and II
  • Design and teach upper-division electives in Asian, Pacific, or World history
  • Support departmental goals in undergraduate education and curriculum development
  • Engage with students and contribute to academic community service
