About Position/Job

The University of California, Berkeley invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Modern Southeast Asian Humanities in the Department of South and Southeast Asian Studies, starting 1 July 2026.   • Advanced proficiency in one or more Southeast Asian languages for high-level research.
  • Evidence of academic, professional, or public service promoting participation in Southeast Asian studies.
