Fellowship Overview
The Azrieli Foundation Fellows Program invites outstanding international PhD candidates to apply for the Azrieli International Visiting PhD Fellowship 2026–27 in Israel, a fully funded short-term research opportunity designed for global scholars across all disciplines. This prestigious visiting fellowship enables doctoral researchers to collaborate with leading Israeli academics while advancing high-impact, interdisciplinary research in a dynamic academic environment. This fellowship enables candidates to conduct short-term research in Israel while collaborating with leading academics, strengthening interdisciplinary research skills and building global scientific networks.
In addition, selected fellows undertake a structured four-month research residency beginning the week of October 18, 2026, hosted by top Israeli institutions, including Technion, Tel Aviv University, Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, University of Haifa, Reichman University, and Weizmann Institute of Science. Additionally, participants engage in seminars, workshops, and collaborative academic events that promote leadership development, innovation, and international research exposure.
Additionally, successful applicants receive Funding status: fully funded, including a monthly stipend of 12,000 ILS for accommodation, airfare, living expenses, insurance, and academic fees. Applicants must have completed at least one year of PhD studies and secure an eligible Israeli academic host. Therefore, this programme offers a strong platform for advanced research, publication output, and global academic engagement.
