About the Fellowship
The CAARI-HFF Graduate Fellowship is a newly established research fellowship jointly supported by the Cyprus American Archaeological Research Institute (CAARI) and the Honour Frost Foundation. This fellowship is designed to support graduate students in undertaking focused research on the maritime archaeology or maritime heritage of Cyprus. The award enables scholars to spend a dedicated period in residence at CAARI in Nicosia, making full use of its specialist library, archives, and research facilities. The fellowship aligns with international research priorities in maritime archaeology, heritage studies, and eastern Mediterranean scholarship, while fostering academic exchange and collaboration. By supporting travel and research residency costs, the fellowship strengthens global engagement with Cypriot maritime history and contributes to the advancement of innovative, place-based archaeological research.
