About the Fellowship
The Early-Career Fellowship 2026 at Collegium Helveticum in Zurich supports outstanding academics and artists at a critical stage in their careers. This fully funded ten-month programme encourages interdisciplinary projects that cross traditional boundaries between academic and artistic disciplines. Fellows can pursue independent or small-team research in fields spanning arts, humanities, natural sciences, applied sciences, and artistic research. The fellowship provides mentorship from established researchers and access to institutional resources at ETH Zurich, University of Zurich, and Zurich University of the Arts. Fellows are expected to organise an interdisciplinary event connected to their project, contributing to the Collegium’s vibrant academic and artistic programme. This fellowship fosters innovation, collaboration, and global research engagement, preparing participants to advance in academia, artistic practice, or major grant applications.

Eligibility & Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Doctoral degree in an academic discipline or Master’s degree from an art school
- Degree awarded within 8 years of fellowship start
- Academic age of 5 years or less (allowances for career breaks, parental care, part-time employment)
Preferred Qualifications: - Strong research or artistic publication record
- Experience in interdisciplinary collaboration
- International research or artistic exposure
Not Eligible: - Applicants employed under direct supervision of proposed associate fellow within 12 months prior to fellowship

Key Responsibilities
