Eligibility & Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • A PhD in Criminology or a related discipline
  • Demonstrated research excellence in critical criminology
  • Experience teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels
  • Proven ability to supervise postgraduate students

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Track record of successful external research funding
  • Experience leading transdisciplinary research projects
  • Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and engagement with Māori and Pacific communities
  • Expertise in Indigenous, race, ethnicity, gender, or intersectional frameworks
