About the Position
The Graham Reynolds Curatorial Fellowship in British Art (Fixed Term) is a unique opportunity for an early career researcher to develop expertise in British Art (1700–1950). The post offers hands-on curatorial training with British paintings, prints, drawings, miniatures, sculptures, decorative arts, and books. The fellowship encourages fresh perspectives, particularly from under-represented audiences, and engages deeply with collection histories and narratives.
This position also includes annual placements at the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO) in Toronto, offering valuable international experience at one of Canada’s leading art institutions. The role supports the Senior Curator, Prints & Drawings, while working collaboratively across multiple museum teams.

Minimum Requirements:

- Excellent IT and digital skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge or experience in museum, library, or archive work
- Commitment to new perspectives and inclusive curatorial approaches
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Senior Curator, Prints & Drawings
- Assist with temporary displays and exhibitions
- Handle collection enquiries and access
- Collaborate with museum colleagues across conservation, learning, documentation, and public programming
- Develop and contribute to research networks, including the Collections-Connections-Communities initiative
- Annual placements at the Art Gallery of Ontario, Toronto
