About the Fellowship
The Käte Hamburger Centre for Cultural Practices of Reparation (CURE) at Saarland University invites applications for its 2026–2027 fellowships. These fully funded, full-time fellowships provide scholars and artists who hold a PhD with the opportunity to conduct interdisciplinary research on cultural practices of reparation. Fellows will investigate questions of irreparability, historical trauma, and cultural renewal, exploring methodologies across history, arts, cultural studies, philosophy, and language sciences. The programme promotes international collaboration, academic exchange, and participation in centre activities including workshops, conferences, and publications. Located in Saarbrücken, Germany, the fellowship supports independent projects aligned with CURE’s Bodies theme, contributing to broader global research on social justice, memory, and cultural reconstruction. This is an exceptional opportunity for researchers to advance academic excellence in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment.
