Fyssen Foundation postdoctoral study grants and research funding opportunities in Paris, France for international PhD researchers in anthropology, archaeology, psychology, neuroscience and cognitive sciences

Fully Funded Postdoctoral Fellowship in Archaeology, Anthropology & Cognitive Sciences – Fyssen Foundation Paris 2026 | Closing 31 March 2026

Fellowship Overview

The Fyssen Foundation offers competitive Postdoctoral Study Grants for early-career researchers seeking international academic experience. This Fully Funded opportunity supports research in Ethology, Palaeontology, Archaeology, Anthropology, Psychology, Epistemology, Logic and Neuroscience. The scheme encourages carefully designed experimental studies, theoretical enquiry, and robust data analysis across behavioural sciences, evolutionary studies, cognitive science, and the sciences of the nervous system.

The fellowship is designed to support academic mobility and meaningful collaboration between institutions. Researchers holding a foreign PhD may carry out their project in a laboratory in France. In the same way, researchers with a French PhD may undertake their project abroad, excluding the country of their joint doctoral supervision. Proposals should show clear research aims, sound methodology, and strong alignment with the Foundation’s core scientific interests.

Applicants must submit a detailed research proposal explaining objectives, research design, analytical methods, and anticipated scholarly contribution. This programme provides valuable support for postdoctoral researchers aiming to strengthen their academic profile in Europe while contributing to international research in neuroscience, anthropology, psychology, logic, and evolutionary science.
