About the Fellowship

The Fellowship in the Society of Fellows in the Humanities at the University of Hong Kong (HKU) is a highly prestigious, fully funded opportunity for outstanding early-career postdoctoral scholars in the humanities. Eligibility & Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • PhD conferred after 1 January 2024 and no later than 30 June 2026
  • Demonstrated excellence in humanities research
  • Applicants must not currently hold a tenure-track position

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong publication or writing record
  • Interdisciplinary research interests
  • Ability to contribute to a collaborative humanities research environment

Not Eligible:

  • Applicants with PhDs awarded before 1 January 2024
  • Scholars currently employed in tenure-track academic positions

Key Responsibilities
