About the PhD Position
The University of Amsterdam invites applications for a Fully Funded PhD position in Digital Archaeology, Virtual Reality (VR), and Interactive Storytelling within the Faculty of Humanities, located in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Applicants should hold a Master’s degree in Archaeology, Heritage Studies, or Digital Humanities, with strong experience in 3D modelling, XR technologies, or game development. In addition, candidates must demonstrate a portfolio of relevant projects and possess excellent communication and teamwork skills. Therefore, an interest in interdisciplinary collaboration and public engagement is highly desirable.
This is a full-time, Fully Funded PhD position for 4 years, starting in September 2026.
