Eligibility & Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • PhD completed before the MSCA application deadline
  • Must not have resided in the UK for more than 12 months in the last 3 years before the deadline (mobility rule)
  • Alignment of the research proposal with the School of Archaeology’s thematic strengths
  • Commitment from an Oxford-based academic supervisor (contact required before EOI submission)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong peer-reviewed publication record
  • Previous international or collaborative research experience
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively
Not Eligible
  • Researchers who do not meet the mobility requirement
  • Applicants who have not obtained prior supervisor support from Oxford
  • Proposals unrelated to the School’s research themes
