About the Fellowship

Eligibility & Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

PhD must have been completed at least one year prior to the fellowship start date
Ideally three years of postdoctoral experience
Fluency in English
Open to scholars of all nationalities
Research must align with one of the ICAS:MP thematic areas
Willingness to be in residence in New Delhi for the entire fellowship duration

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong publication record
Interdisciplinary or transregional research experience
Background in decolonial or comparative theory
Familiarity with South Asian contexts

Not Eligible:

Candidates who have not been awarded their PhD before July 2025
Applicants seeking extended fieldwork or archival travel during fellowship tenure
