About the Scholarships
The Archaeology and Anthropology Field Research Scholarships (2026 Intake) offered by the Institute for Field Research (IFR) in the United States are designed to expand access to hands-on field research training for students pursuing careers in archaeology, anthropology, and related field sciences. These scholarships address financial barriers while promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion in field-based education. By combining substantial financial support with structured academic mentorship, IFR enables students to gain practical field experience, develop professional research skills, and build confidence in real-world research environments. The 2026 intake supports participation in IFR field schools, which are globally recognised for immersive, high-quality training that prepares students for future academic, research, and heritage-sector careers.
