The Institut national d’histoire de l’art (National Institute of Art History – INHA) invites applications for its 2027 Guest Research Fellowship in Art History in Paris, France. This prestigious international research residency supports individual scholarly projects in visual culture, museum studies, and heritage research. Moreover, it promotes global academic exchange and strengthens interdisciplinary collaboration across regions and periods.

The position is fully funded for one to three months. INHA covers one return journey to Paris and provides accommodation support up to €1,300 per month. In addition, eligible researchers from countries classified as medium or low on the UN Human Development Index may receive an extra €1,300 monthly grant. Participants benefit from a dedicated workstation, priority library access, and extensive digital and archival resources.

Importantly, priority regions include Africa, Latin America, Asia, Eastern Europe, and the Middle East. Therefore, scholars from these areas are strongly encouraged to apply. International excellence matters.

Eligibility & Qualifications
