About the Position
The Department of Chemical Sciences at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Mohali invites applications for a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to work on a DBT-funded project titled “Deciphering protein folding dynamics and cell mechanics ex vivo.” This interdisciplinary project combines single-molecule biophysics, instrumentation, and cell biology, using tools like Magnetic Tweezers, AFM, and fluorescence microscopy. The selected fellow will initially focus on molecular and cell biology with the potential to explore other aspects based on interest.
This one-year position is extendable based on performance and offers an excellent pathway to a PhD position by mutual agreement. The lab is highly interdisciplinary, focused on using cutting-edge single-molecule techniques to quantitatively explore biological questions. Enthusiastic candidates interested in advanced research methods and interdisciplinary learning are strongly encouraged to apply.
