About Position/Job
The Physical Research Laboratory (PRL), Ahmedabad, an institute under the Department of Space, Government of India, invites applications for a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) research grant. The project, led by Dr. Yogita Kadlag (Geosciences Division), focuses on high-precision isotope systematics of Chromium and Nickel in primitive solar system objects. The study aims to understand the nebular environment and evolution of planetary precursors in the early solar system. This is a unique opportunity for candidates interested in interdisciplinary research combining physics, geochemistry, planetary science, and nuclear physics. The position is purely temporary and offers a competitive fellowship with the potential to extend up to three years based on performance.

Eligibility & Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- M.Sc. in Physics or Earth Sciences
- Valid CSIR-UGC NET / GATE / JEST score in Physical/Earth Sciences
Desirable Qualifications:
- Basic understanding of Nuclear Physics, Geochemistry, and Planetary Science
- Strong motivation and ability to work independently in a research environment
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct laboratory-based isotope analysis of solar system materials
- Interpret geochemical and isotopic data related to planetary formation
- Prepare research reports and present findings
- Collaborate with internal and external scientific teams
