Applications are invited for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a DBT-sponsored research project titled “In-aqueous fabrication of antimicrobial covalent coating on catheters to mitigate catheter-associated urinary tract infections (CAUTIs)” at JNCASR, Bengaluru. The role aligns with cutting-edge chemical and biomedical research, offering an opportunity to work under the guidance of Prof. Jayanta Haldar in the New Chemistry Unit, supporting innovation in antimicrobial materials and polymer chemistry.

Eligibility & Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Postgraduate Degree in Basic Science OR

  • Must have a valid score in any National Level Examination (e.g., CSIR-NET)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • M.Sc. in Chemistry
  • Qualified CSIR-NET
  • Prior experience in polymer synthesis, purification, and characterization

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct laboratory experiments related to polymer synthesis and organic chemistry
  • Assist in data collection, purification, and analysis of synthesized materials
  • Contribute to the ongoing DBT project focused on antimicrobial coatings
  • Collaborate with the PI and research team for data interpretation and reporting
