Queen’s University Belfast is inviting applications for a Lecturer (Education) in Ancient History, starting 5 January 2026 on a fixed-term, 12-month contract. Based within the School of History, Anthropology, Philosophy and Politics, this role focuses on teaching undergraduate modules including Alexander the Great and The Ancient City, while contributing to postgraduate supervision and administrative responsibilities. Eligibility & Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- PhD in Ancient History or cognate subject (or near completion)
- Ability to teach core modules in Ancient History

- Evidence of research publications appropriate to career stage
- Administrative and teamwork experience
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in Ancient History
