About the Position

The National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS), Bengaluru, is inviting applications for faculty positions focused on understanding the origins of human brain disorders. Eligibility & Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • 3–6 years of postdoctoral research experience for Assistant Professor level
  • Proven research record in neurobiology, genetics, or related fields

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience as a tenured independent investigator for senior-level posts
  • Strong collaborative research track record in human brain disorders

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead independent research programmes on brain disorders
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams within CBM and NCBS
  • Build on CBM’s resources including clinical assessments, brain imaging, and genomics datasets
  • Supervise PhD students and research staff
  • Contribute to NCBS’s academic and research excellence
